Lots of Space….with Less is More

Ahhh…the sun is out and I’m suddenly inspired to blog!  It’s a quick one though cos I’m running late….for a change :-).

Chrissie and Mandy over on Less is More  are helping out with a sketch this week in a bid to get back to clean and simple.  Hmmm!  Hope this counts!  I’ve stamped the flowery things (from Inklicious)on the centre of the card and 3D’d a frame over it.

IMG_3318[1]Finished off with a little ribbon tie, I hope it’s not too fussy!  The colours are Stampin’ Ups Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder….very spring-like.  Here’s a close up.

So off to work….hope the sun lasts, and I hope you like this!

Happy Eas….oh…

Just like Christmas…I’ve missed sharing all the little things I made for the kids and friends!  *sigh*
Here’s a couple of pics of our Easter Table anyways:

I’ve made the flowers for the centre piece using the Stampin’ Up flower punch.  Let me know if you want to know how to make them and I’ll add a photo tutorial to my page.
The little egg place names I made by accident, while trying to figure out a box.  I eventually made the boxes too…but can’t find my photos of those!
And Annie made the lovely flower confetti for me…it’s a fab way to keep a 5 year old busy while making dinner :-).
So only a quick share today….back with some more makes later

More Ink Dusting for Easter…

….I’m addicted!!  I’m using it at every opportunity :-).

After seeing my first attempts, my dad asked me to make some little bookmarks to give out to friends at Easter time.  So in the lifetime strife for parental approval I just had to oblige :-)

Ink DustingInkyliciousStampin Up InksEaster cards

I’ve made these the size of an ATCs and although they are all very similar to each other I love the fact that you never get two exactly the same!  I just love the technique!  The only downsize is the inky fingers after you’ve finished…heheheh.

I’ll be demo’ing this technique at my next workshop on 28th April 2012.  Watch out for details.

I’m entering these in the following challenges:

Anything Goes {Anything Goes}

Papertake Weekly {Anything Goes}

Everybody Art Challenge {Easter}

Yay…Spring is here! And so am I….

So it’s been a while since I was in blog land.  I’ve missed it…I really have!! But what can you do….life happens!  Sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it’s a little more hectic!  One thing is for sure time carries on and I can’t believe spring is here already!

Luckily one of my favourite challenges is still going strong and has helped me get back in to things.  Less is More has a fab lucky dip challenge this week  and they have beautiful picture to inspire us.  Lovely spring colours to use and a good opportunity for me to play with my ink dusters!

Less is Moore

I had the good fortune to meet Deby from Inkylicious at the NEC the other week and she let me have a go at this technique.  I’ll admit it….I’ve had ink dusters since seeing Deby demo at the Dome in Doncaster a couple of years ago, but have only just realised how effective this technique is.  And so much easier than brayering.  Stampin’ Up inks are perfect!  I’ve used Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo…in fact, if it was green or pink, I probably used it!  A bit of masking, and the beautiful Pocket Silhouttes and without too much effort, a beautiful card.  I’ve finished it off with a bit of liquid pearls and glitter and a beautiful sentiment (from Inkylicious too!).

I’m also entering this in:

Make it Monday {Linky Party}
Simon Says {Anything Goes}
Great Impressions {Lots of flowers}

So hope you like it!  Thank for sticking with me over the last couple of months!  Hope you come back soon.
