LIM Take 2

Thank you so much for all your hints and tips! I quite agree…I think my first card in the Less is More challenge (One Layer Embossed) was a little too more and not enough less…so I’ve had another go.

I’ve kept the same principle (although I now know it’s not resist embossing) and have black embossed the image.  This time, I took the advice of Lady LIM and masked off an area to give it its “Less is More” feel.  I also reduced the amount of foliage and didn’t bother with the Wasabi green this time.  I cut a smaller circle out of another piece of card and used the hole to inked the sun with Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango and a little bit of Real Red around the edge.  I then used the circle I cut out to mask the sun while I lightly inked the sky using Marina Mist.  I’ve added a smaller, ‘more appropriate for the card’ image too.
Oh…fab tip about the talc too, Chrissie.  I used to keep some in my kit for when I’d accidentally got glue on something….and after a quick hunt I found it again and it worked a treat!
I’m a lot happier with this version Smile.
Thanks again for all your comments.

  1. I'm so glad that you submitted this super revised version of your card. I certainly prefer it to your previous one and I makes me so pleased to read that you are more satisfied with it too! The fact that there is more white space around the image gives it much greater focus and actually leads the eye to look more closely at it.
    Wonderful... well done you!
    Super Linda!
    Thank you so much.
