Ombre?

Ok - I've heard of ochre, but ombre?  That conjures up images of mexican bandits in a spaghettii western!! 

So after admitting my ignorance (and having a quick google) I got the "shady" reference made by CAS-ology and made these for their Ombre Challenge this week.

It's cheating a little bit as these colours come perfectly blended courtesy of the local DIY store. I've punched the butterflies out of paint sample cards :-)

 Likewise with the dragonflies....

 ...and with Stampin' Up's Petite Petal punch.

Early Espresso

So I hope I've interpreted this correctly!

    Great bunch of cards. I really like your cascading butterflies. Paint chips are a fabulous way to do an ombre look and get all the shadings just perfect. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.

    I pick up paint samples whenever I'm in the store, but never actually think to use them! Great cards!

    Linda, you have TOTALLY rocked ombre!! Love that you took the time to look it up, as it has paid dividends! You have inspired me to get some paint chips, as I i have that butterfly die, and I love how you have showcased it!
