Ombre?

Ok - I've heard of ochre, but ombre?  That conjures up images of mexican bandits in a spaghettii western!!

So after admitting my ignorance (and having a quick google) I got the "shady" reference made by CAS-ology and made these for their Ombre Challenge this week.

It's cheating a little bit as these colours come perfectly blended courtesy of the local DIY store. I've punched the butterflies out of paint sample cards :-)

Stampin' Up Butterfly Punch
Pretty in Pink

 Likewise with the dragonflies....
Wisteria Wonder
...and with Stampin' Up's Petite Petal punch.
Petite Petals
Early Espresso

So I hope I've interpreted this correctly!

I'm entering these in the following challenges too:

Clean &Simple Challenge on Cute Card Thursday
Up, Up and Away Challenge on Less is More
Things with Wings Challenge on Uniko.

Thanks for looking

  3. Great bunch of cards. I really like your cascading butterflies. Paint chips are a fabulous way to do an ombre look and get all the shadings just perfect. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
